How to create younger looking hands

Soft Hands

At some point in life, we all get older. While some of us see earlier signs of aging in the face, others tend to see it in their hands. In fact, you might be able to tell how old someone is by looking at their hands, especially if they don’t take care of their hands. Most people spend more time on the face and body and neglect the hands and feet. Many women use night creams, sunscreen and other beauty products on the face to look good. One of the key ingredients to younger looking hands – exfoliate, exfoliate, and exfoliate! This doesn’t mean that you have to exfoliate only your face, but your hands as well. I bet you didn’t know that, right. Or did you?

The Hands

Our hands are exposed to the environment, but also exposed to washing dishes almost every day. If you don’t take care of your hands, they will get old on you. Remember, you use your hands to do almost everything and working hands also need tender care. Soon enough, the hard work on your hands will most likely show.

Moisturize

Like your face, your hands need to be moisturized, exfoliated as we said before and receive sunscreen application on a regular basis. If you tend to be like other people, you may not take the time to give your hands the attention it deserves – to put off aging. All of a sudden, you look down at your hands and are shocked. Don’t let that happen to you. With frequent care, your hands will start to look younger. This means that moisturizing, exfoliating and sunscreen should be part of your skin care regimen.

Other Circumstances

Cold weather and hot water can cause damage to your hands, if you don’t protect them. Use gloves when necessary and of course, hand lotion is not a luxury either. While you are washing the pot, using bleach when doing laundry or using any other type of chemical, you should wear latex or rubber gloves. The same is true when going out into the cold wintry weather – wear gloves to protect your hands.

Exfoliation

This is an important aspect for all types of skin care to hands, feet and face. To remove dead skin layer and smoothen your skin, exfoliation is essential. In fact, with regular exfoliation, you will see results of smoother, younger looking hands sooner rather than later.

Soapy Hands

Once you apply moisturizer on your hands and have to wash the hands after a bathroom use, all of that moisturizer is washed down the drain. What is the solution? Have some lotion nearby the kitchen sink and get into the routine of using the lotion each time that you wash your hands.

Cuticles

Younger looking hands are also attributed to regular pedicures – trimming the cuticles and hydrating them. Don’t let your nails go untreated. This is an integral part of your hands. In fact, it is one of the first things people notice when they look at your hands.

Sun Exposure

By now, you know that sun exposure can cause premature aging to the face and hands. That is why it is important to use sunscreen lotion. Keep one of those small bottles of sunscreen on your key ring. There is no excuse not to!

Conclusion

Your hands can look younger if you try all or some of these methods discussed above. Do you have any personal tips that you can share here? Be sure to leave them in your comments below.
